There is a back to the land movement and it’s happening in backyards, community gardens and on small parcels of land across America. Turn food deserts into growing food paradises by employing chickens—and their skill sets—to produce much of your own vegetables, fruit, eggs and meat.
This not only saves on grocery bills, but you are assured that your food is grown in living, clean soils. Reduce the use of fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides by harnessing poultry power. Understand how chickens can help us kick the oil habit. Learn why you want to use heirloom seeds and heritage poultry to get superior nutritional foods that keep you and your family healthy. Developing your chicken have-more plan is the most practical way to enable local foods, while at the same time produce food with superior nutritional value to keep you, your family and your community food-rich and healthy. Join us 6 p.m. Thur., Feb. 18 at St. Francis School, 300 E Huntland Dr, Austin, Texas 78752. More details on Facebook.
