The Brazos Valley Poultry Club is pleased to announce the third annual Austin Bluebonnet Egg Show, which will be held June 1, 2013, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm, at Callahan's General Store, 501 Bastrop Highway, Austin, Texas. We'll also be launching the first annual Austin Bluebonnet Egg Drive, in partnership with Keep Austin Fed.

Meet the 2013 FCCT Artist: Lauren Scheuer
Meet the Artist. Lauren Scheur, illustrator and author of the dearly loved Scratch and Peck Blog, and memoir, Once Upon a Flock: Life with my Soulful Chickens, will be on hand to sign books on 3/30 at Tour Headquarters at the Information Center. Lauren designed the artwork on our fabulous 2013 t-shirts! Come out and flap a feather her way!
Lauren will be signing books from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on Tour Day at the Information Center.

The 2013 maps/tickets are on sale now at Buck Moore Feed and Supply on North Lamar and Callahan's General Store on S. 183 in limited supply for counter purchase. Maps purchased online through Brown Paper Tickets are available for pickup at Buck Moore Feed and Supply.
Getting Started with Chickens FREE class!
New to chickens? Start Tour day (3/30/2013) with a free presentation on "Getting Started with Chickens" from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m., presented by Cameron Molberg, of Coyote Creek Farm and Organic Feed Mill. The talk is in the educational area to the left of Buck Moore Feed and Supply, location of Tour Headquarters and Information Center. Please bring your own lawn chairs, and arrive early to allow time for parking.
